Robert has over twenty years’ hands-on experience in Strategy, General Management, Insurance Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims. Prior to joining Imperial General Assurance, he headed various Departments at Wapic Insurance Ghana Limited (now Coronation Insurance Ghana). He served as Head of Corporate and Broker Relations and ultimately became the Head of Technical Operations. Robert was the Acting Head of Corporate and subsequently Head of Reinsurance at the Metropolitan Insurance Company, Accra, Ghana (now Hollard Insurance Ghana). Until his appointment as the Managing Director of Imperial General Assurance, he was the Head of Technical Operations.

As Managing Director, Mr. Wugah has led the team at Imperial on their rise in the insurance industry over the last two years. Key milestones under his leadership includes a turnaround in growth and the profitability of the company with a subsequent increase in the market share of the company. He has also led the critical restructuring of the Company which has injected fresh energy into the activities of the Company. He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA), from the University of Ghana Business School and has a B.Ed. (Hons) degree from the University of Cape Coast. Robert is a member of both the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) and the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. He has additionally built capacity through several technical insurance training programmes in Ghana, Nigeria, Mauritius and South Africa. He is married with children.

Harry E.B. Ofori-Attah comes on board with 18 years of very rich and diversified background in the entire insurance value chain. This complements his ability to manage client needs, analyze business issues and develop practical solutions for clients.

Harry started his career in 2004 as a Client Relations Executive for Crown Insurance Brokers. In 2008, he joined Enterprise Insurance, as a Senior Client relations executive for the Corporate workgroup.

Following his joining Enterprise, He has risen through the ranks and served in various capacities, including managing Branch operations in Takoradi until 2016. In 2017, He became the Senior Manager, for Corporate Business, Business Retention and Specialist Business where he was instrumental in underwriting Enterprise’s First Aviation Risk. He was also the team lead for innovations.

Prior to Joining Imperial General, Harry was the Senior Manager for Corporate Business at Enterprise Life where he was responsible for driving value from institutional clients including Brokers and banks.

Harry is a Chartered Insurer with a Chartered Insurance Professional qualification from the Insurance Institute of Canada Professional (CIP, Canada). He holds a Bsc. in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as well as a Law degree from GIMPA. Harry holds an Executive MBA in Management from KNUST and also a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch Leadership Development Program from Capetown, South Africa. Additionally, He is also a graduate of the Swiss Re Academy, where he was trained in Engineering and Marine Cargo underwriting.

Harry is blue ocean thinker and very passionate about innovation, strategic thinking, business retention and the development of the next generation leaders. Since 2008, he has been an adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Insurance College. Harry is an avid Manchester United Fan and loves playing soccer, tennis and reads a lot.

Josephine Asumbire is a self-motivated and articulate person with 17 years of corporate working experience in the Insurance Industry. Before joining Imperial General Assurance, she was the Head Underwriting/Reinsurance at GLICO General Insurance Co. Ltd. Josephine joined Imperial General Assurance Company in March, 2022 as the Chief Operations Officer.

She started her insurance carrier at SIC as a National Service personnel and rose through the ranks to became a Manager at the Corporate and Special Risks Department in SIC. She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing Option) from GIMPA and a Chartered Insurance Professional from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (2009).

Josephine has attended several career and self-development seminars both at local and International level including South Africa, Kenya, Jordan, Zimbabwe and The Gambia.

She has been instrumental in drafting Underwriting Manuals at SIC and GLICO General Insurance. She has also served as a key member on various Committees in her carrier.

She is married with 2 children.

Mr. Osman is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), UK. , He also holds a BSc. (Business Administration) degree and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB).

He has over 15 years’ experience in Finance and Internal Auditing and was before joining the company in February 2014 a Principal Auditor at Ghana Cocoa Board where he had worked for over 11 years (2003-2014). Prior to being appointed as the Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Osman held the position of the Head of Internal Audit & Inspections at Imperial General Assurance Co. Limited. Mr. Osman has participated in many seminars relating to Finance, Compliance and Audit all over the globe.

Sally is a seasoned HR professional who is passionate about People Management and mentoring the next generation of corporate leaders. She has over 13 years’ experience working for multinational companies both in the mining and oil & gas industries. Before joining Imperial General Assurance, Sally was the HR Manager at Belmet 7 Ltd, where she served for 7years responsible for workforce planning, industrial relations, performance management, compensation & benefits management amongst others.

She has expertise in Recruitment and Staffing, Compensation and Benefits management, Employee Relations, Training & development and Performance Management Sally has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as experience in managing large workforce. She also possesses in-depth knowledge of the Ghana Labour Law, Act 651 2003 and international labour laws and has excellent Knowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures. Sally is proactive and a team player. She possesses skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, leadership, global/intercultural fluency, and is results-oriented.

As an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM), she holds an MBA in Business Administration (HRM) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a product of UCC where she obtained her 1st Degree. In early 2021, Sally received a Certificate of Achievement from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for outstanding performance in using the SHRM LMS. She is a member of SHRM and has obtained SHRM-CP.

Reginald is the Head of Sales and Marketing at the Imperial General Assurance Company Limited. Prior to joining Imperial General, Reginald was the Marketing Manager at the International Energy Insurance Company (Ghana) Limited. He also worked for Capita Insurance Services (UK) as a Claims Consultant from 2005 to 2013.

He is a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) and has obtained a Risk Management in Insurance and Banking Qualification, from the Institute of Risk Management (UK). He is an old student of Akosombo International, Presbyterian Boys Secondary School Legon, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and Lancaster University (UK).

Mr. Kwabena Nyampong Amaning holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Sociology from University of Cape Coast and a Master of Science in Business Consulting and Enterprise Risk Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He holds an LLB from the Central University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurers, U.K and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana. He has 14 years working experience in the insurance industry in both technical and marketing and is widely acknowledged as a result-oriented person.

Mr. Amaning started his career as a national service person at SIC Insurance Company Ltd. His commitment earned him a retention as a contract staff of the company.

Prior to joining Imperial General Assurance, Kwabena was the Regional Manager for International Energy Insurance (IEI) Co. Ltd for the Tema Region with oversight responsibilities over Eastern and Volta regions. He excelled with his team.

Mr. Amaning joined Imperial General as the Branch Manager of the Spintex Branch and led the Branch’s exceptional performance and achievements. As a team player, Kwabena also contributed for the overall performance of the Imperial General team, ensuring adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements of the NIC. He expanded the agency network and performance from his branch and also raised many leaders through his dedicated knowledge transfer programme.

Being a self-motivated and result oriented person, Mr. Amaning rose to a top management position as the Head of Technical 0perations to lead the technical team of Imperial General, a position he held until March 2022. Currently, he is the Senior Manager, Northern Sector.

Ebo Bronyiaye holds a BEng degree in Computer Engineering from All Nations University. He started his IT career with Prime Insurance and has over 7 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable in Network and Computer Systems Administration, databases, including securing of open source implementations. Prior to joining Imperial General Assurance, he was the Head of IT at Prime Insurance Ltd.

Paakow, as his working colleagues call him is a Communications, Brands and Marketing professional with over 15 years hands on working experience in Corporate Communications, Brands Management and Marketing. His scope of expertise spans across various industries and has worked extensively on emerging and established brands in the financial, pharmaceutical and insurance industry.

His core area of interest is building emerging brands to achieve top of mind and client affiliation with such brands. He had previously worked with Telemedia Communications, an advertising, PR and events management outfit where he worked as a key accounts manager on brands such as Fidelity Bank, Bank of Africa, Star Assurance and Access Bank, Ghana. As the team lead at Telemedia, he led the successful rebranding and execution of key strategies for the repositioning of the “New Star Assurance” after 25years of its existence. Having managed and nurtured brands in the banking and insurance industries, Paakow has an appreciation of brands repositioning, promotion and strategic communication to achieve optimization of investments in brands management.

Until 2019, Paakow was the head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the uniCredit Ghana Limited (A leading Savings and Loans Company) in Ghana. Typical of his expertise and brand nurturing insights, he led the team to position uniCredit as a go-to brand in the Savings and Loans industry.

He is an MBA (Marketing Option) graduate from GIMPA, MA in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Bsc (Hons) Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He is a member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR, Ghana).

Joseph Acheampong Ackon is an Accountant by profession and a practicing Internal Auditor. He holds B.Ed Social Sciences (Accounting and Economics) from the University of Cape Coast and an MSc. Industrial Finance and Investment from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana. Joseph also has to his credit several short courses in Insurance, Internal Audit Practice, Leadership, and in Accounting Practice. He has over 17 years working experience in both the Accounting practice and in the Internal Audit practice in Ghana and in Nigeria with about 13 years serving in managerial roles. His wealth of Internal Audit experience spans from sectors such as Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Media and Insurance.

Prior to joining Imperial General Assurance, he had worked with several organizations including TV3 Network Ltd. as the Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management Department and was later promoted to the position of Group Head, Internal Audit with the Parent Company of TV3 (Media General Limited). He had also worked with Donewell Insurance Limited as the Head of Audit and Assurance.

His passion for what he does is evident in his career achievements; saving the companies he has worked with from major losses as a result of providing senior management and the Board with useful assurances, insights and advices on governance structure, risk management practices and internal control measures. Mr. Ackon has good analytical and methodological skills and this is obvious in roles he has worked and excelled in. He sees the strengths in every organization and has a unique way of bringing out the best in the organization through his input into management decision making.

Ransford is a highly motivated team player and a results-driven insurance marketer with over twenty (20) years of insurance marketing and managerial experience.

He is a chartered insurer from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Ghana (CIIG). He holds an MSc. in Organisation Development from the University of Cape Coast, MBA in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies and a BSc. in Marketing from the University of Cape Coast.

Ransford started his insurance career in 2002 with Donewell Insurance Company as a marketing officer. In the same year, he was posted to Akim Oda as the Branch Manager.

He subsequently served as the Regional Manager for the Accra East Region from 2009 to 2011.

In January 2012, he joined Nem Insurance as the Head of Marketing and was instrumental in the setting up of two (2) branch offices in Takoradi and Sunyani and six (6) satellite offices in Cape-Coast, Akim Oda, Somanya, Ho, Tamale and Koforidua.

Following the merger between Nem and Regency in 2016, (RegencyNem), Ransford was maintained as Head of Business with key responsibility for branch and agency development.

In July 2018, Ransford joined Heritage Energy Insurance as Head of Business, again with key responsibilities for branch and agency development.

Ransford joined Imperial General Assurance in February 2022 as Head of Special Risk and currently serves as the cluster Head for SME, Retail and Agency Relations.

Kofi Ohene Kwadade Asare has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Ashesi University. For being adjudged the best improved student in Corporate Finance for his year group, he was rewarded with a Research Analyst role at IC Securities. He later joined Enterprise Insurance for his national service but left the company in 2009 to NEM Insurance as a Reinsurance Executive.

After working for over a year at NEM, Kofi joined Enterprise Life Assurance as a Group Underwriting Officer in charge of underwriting group risk policies.

Kofi is a graduate of the then Cass Business School (now Bayes Business School) in the UK where he studied for an MSc. in Insurance & Risk Management and graduated with Merit. He also has a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in insurance from the Ghana Insurance College.

Upon his return to Ghana in 2013, he joined Donewell Insurance as the Accra East Regional Manager in charge of the Madina branch and other satellite offices. After 6 months in his new role, Kofi was moved to the Head Office as the Risk Manager, with an additional responsibility of handling Claims. In 2014, he left Donewell and joined Enterprise Insurance as a Senior Clients Relations Executive. He has held various positions in Enterprise including heading Banc assurance, corporate workgroup, and a member of the Broker management team and finally heading the Niche Business unit before joining Imperial General Assurance.

He is currently the Senior Manager, Southern Sector and overseas all the business units in Accra and key business units including Brokers Relations.
