Paakow, as his working colleagues call him is a Communications, Brands and Marketing professional with over 15 years hands on working experience in Corporate Communications, Brands Management and Marketing.
His scope of expertise spans across various industries and has worked extensively on emerging and established brands in the financial, pharmaceutical and insurance industry.
His core area of interest is building emerging brands to achieve top of mind and client affiliation with such brands. He had previously worked with Telemedia Communications, an advertising, PR and events management outfit where he worked as a key accounts manager on brands such as Fidelity Bank, Bank of Africa, Star Assurance and Access Bank, Ghana. As the team lead at Telemedia, he led the successful rebranding and execution of key strategies for the repositioning of the “New Star Assurance” after 25years of its existence. Having managed and nurtured brands in the banking and insurance industries, Paakow has an appreciation of brands repositioning, promotion and strategic communication to achieve optimization of investments in brands management.
Until 2019, Paakow was the head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the uniCredit Ghana Limited (A leading Savings and Loans Company) in Ghana. Typical of his expertise and brand nurturing insights, he led the team to position uniCredit as a go-to brand in the Savings and Loans industry.
He is an MBA (Marketing Option) graduate from GIMPA, MA in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and a Bsc (Hons) Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He is a member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR, Ghana).
